Mechanical Advantage and Load Rating
TackleWinch uses a theoretical 24:1 mechanical configuration.
Mechanical advantage is not the same as Working Load Limit. A safe working or lifting rating must be established by testing the complete production assembly, including rope, rollers, shafts, hooks, attachment points, housings and all other load-bearing components.
For that reason, TackleWinch does not publish a safe working load by simply multiplying the breaking strength of one rope section by 24.
Production Testing
Final Working Load Limit, lifting classification and safety-factor information will be published after the relevant production version has completed appropriate load testing.
