Portable 24:1 Pulley Winch

TackleWinch was created around a simple idea: a powerful pulling tool should not need to be large, heavy or motorized.

The system combines two compact multi-roller pulley assemblies with high-strength synthetic rope to create a theoretical mechanical advantage of 24:1.

The system connects between a secure anchor and the load. The operator pulls the free end of the rope while the pulley arrangement multiplies the input force.

No Battery, Fuel or Motor

Unlike powered winches, TackleWinch requires no vehicle electrical system, fuel supply, motor or heavy gearbox. That makes it suitable for storage in a vehicle and for field use where power is unavailable.

Key Characteristics

  • Mechanical advantage: 24:1 theoretical configuration
  • Rollers: 24 total
  • Pulley assemblies: 2
  • Kit weight: approx. 1.5 kg / 3.3 lb
  • Packed dimensions: approx. 45 × 15 × 10 cm
  • Working stroke: approx. 1.5 m / 4.9 ft
  • Attachment: hooks and attachment eyes
  • Rope: high-strength synthetic rope
  • Protective pulley housings: ABS
  • Design: patented

Multi-Line Load Distribution

The rope travels repeatedly between the two pulley assemblies. This creates multiple working rope sections that share the load rather than concentrating the required force in one primary pulling line.

The same architecture that produces mechanical advantage also contributes to TackleWinch’s controlled rope behavior and its design goal of reducing recoil risk.

Current Product Status

TackleWinch is a working patented product. Published Working Load Limit and lifting ratings will be based on validated testing of the complete production assembly rather than theoretical multiplication of individual rope strength.
